WEBCO Construction
Overview
In the highly competitive construction industry, standing out as a local small business can be a significant challenge.
WEBCO Construction sought my expertise to redesign their website with the goal of increasing web traffic, boosting conversions, and showcasing their extensive experience and capabilities in the field of industrial construction.

The Problem
The main problem I aimed to solve while redesigning the existing website for WEBCO Construction was the lack of a streamlined digital presence that effectively communicated the company’s expertise in handling large-scale industrial projects.
Potential clients, such as established businesses and corporate facilities, needed clear, compelling information to quickly assess WEBCO’s credibility and ability to meet their unique construction and renovation needs.
The goal was to design a user-friendly experience that highlighted WEBCO’s portfolio, core services, and industry reputation while making it easy for potential clients to request consultations or learn more.
Moreover, the owner of WEBCO Construction requested that the company’s logo does not change, and the branding (such as colors & photography style) is maintained. The owner also requested that the website be built on the hosting platform “WIX” for a more easy management from the owner’s end.

Objectives
-
Use the existing WEBCO logo & branding.
-
Improve the website's visibility through modern design and SEO best practices to attract more potential clients.
-
Create a streamlined, user-friendly interface that makes it easy for visitors to find information about services, view the project portfolio, and contact WEBCO for inquiries.
-
Optimize the website's design and content to encourage visitors to take actionable steps, such as requesting consultations or submitting project inquiries.
-
Establish a professional and trustworthy online presence that sets WEBCO apart from competitors in the construction industry.
Goal
-
How can we earn the trust of the website visitor about the company?
-
How can we help the user find the service they need?
-
Could we create a dedicated page for the company’s history & credentials for potential clients to easily explore?

The Result
The client was highly satisfied with the redesigned website, as he pointed out: "this is a 180° flip from the boring, draft-looking design" that was previously put in place.
My redesign focused on intuitive navigation, ensuring easy access to information. Every element is designed for effortless navigation, from clear menu structures to strategically placed calls to action. Visitors can easily explore WEBCO's services, projects, values, and careers, creating a seamless interaction that reflects the company's dedication to successful client relations and quality of work.

More Projects
Based on user feedback, improvements were made, and I worked closely with the BA and developers on a tight timeline.
UX&UI for a new product, which included static pages & a multi-level user profile area.

In Numbers
WEBCO's website saw a positive increase on all aspects from the very first month after launching with the new design, including an increase in local traffic, organic traffic, mobile visitors & site sessions. Moreover, the client received numerous positive comments from new and existing clients.
Testimonial from client
"[Philip] took the time to meet with us and get an understanding of what we were looking to accomplish with our website. He exceeded all of our deadlines and expectations with our new website. He thoroughly explained his process and how long he would need for each step of the way. All modifications and changes that we requested were completed in a timely manner. Our website exceeded our expectations and we have received many compliments from our clients. We loved [...] the ease of use either on a computer or mobile device. We are extremely satisfied with our website and can’t wait to collaborate with Philip on future updates and changes as our company continues to grow."
Competitive Analysis
There are many construction company websites from around the world, but not as many well-designed websites for small, employee-owned construction companies. In the marketplace, Pride Enterprises Inc. is the clear winner with integrations and design that far exceed the capabilities of the rest.
The competitor has completed a lot of projects in the same market area as WEBCO’s as well, and was also mentioned by the owner of WEBCO as a reference.
Based on competitive analysis, I identified the below key targets:
-
Start with a strong message on the homepage that explains the company's values & purpose.
-
Highlight that safety is the #1 priority for WEBCO.
-
Help the user find the service that they need.
-
Talk about the company and its history.
-
Showcase a well-maintained library of projects.

Brand
I used the existing WEBCO logo to create a few, new visual elements to incorporate in the design of the website. I duplicated the logo to create a pattern that is used as a background texture behind specific sections of the website, and broke down the parts of the logo to create interactive elements that appear on hover.
